Topic: "The Changing Marketing Mix: how can you attract business in the new decade?"
Are your marketing activities keeping up with the changing consumer? Some things don't change much over time. For instance, 80% of purchases are made within 20 miles of a person's home or business. Other things do. There is a higher return on investment for email marketing and pay per click than for most traditional media. In this presentation, John will share some of the ongoing research and forecasts The Kelsey Group has done in the SMB marketplace. In 1986, John and Pam Kelsey started a business in their Princeton dining room focusing on how new technologies would impact traditional media and local businesses. John's perspective on marketing, media and new technologies was formed by his experience as an executive at Johnson & Johnson, AT&T and Dow Jones. Until they sold the company in 2008 to BIA Financial Network, they managed and facilitated the growth of The Kelsey Group from a small consultancy to a full-service international business intelligence firm specializing in local media. John received a B.A. in Economics from Brown University and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia's Colgate Darden Graduate Business School.
